Placements24 is assisting a leading financial services client in Pretoria, Gauteng, to hire an Operations Excellence Lead. You will identify bottlenecks, design improvements and lead initiatives across departments to elevate efficiency and service quality.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma proficiency, data analysis and strong project management. Expect to drive sustainable changes, engage stakeholders at all levels, and mentor teams while improving process performance and cost outcomes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (BA/BEng/BS).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
• 5–7 years in operations management or process improvement.
• Experience in financial services or similar industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership.

About the Role

Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking a driven and analytical Operations Excellence Lead to join their team in Pretoria, Gauteng . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process optimization, lean methodologies, and project management, with a passion for driving continuous improvement. You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating with various departments to implement best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, design, and implementation of process improvement initiatives across various operational functions in Pretoria, Gauteng .
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other continuous improvement tools to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and streamline processes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Manage projects aimed at enhancing operational performance, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives.
• Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to gain buy-in and ensure successful adoption of new processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, process improvement, or a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience in applying Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive measurable results in Pretoria, Gauteng or similar environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
• Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Effective communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in process mapping software (e.g., Visio) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
