Job summary

SOLEVO Group in Pretoria is seeking a hands-on Operator to join our manufacturing and formulating team. The role covers forklift operation, weighing materials, product filling, house-keeping and adherence to safety and quality procedures.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, 4–6 months experience in the chemical industry, a forklift license and is physically fit. The position may require overtime with rotational 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 (Matric) and 4–6 months working experience in the chemical industry.
• Forklift license and physical fitness are required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with willingness to overtime.

The key responsibilities:

• Forklift operation.
• Formulating products.
• Manufacturing plant operations.
• Weighing materials.
• Housekeeping.
• Product filling.
• Track raw material stores activities.
• Waste handling.
• Effluent treatment and handling.
• Wear required PPE as specified in product batch sheets and the RAIMS.
• Accountable for own basic discipline, following instructions, timekeeping, adhering to all company procedures including Safety, Manufacturing, Site, Quality control regulations and procedures.
• Responsible for reporting all and any safety accidents and incidents, near misses and any other abnormal observations and/or events that they experience or that occur in the area in which they work to the Team Leader immediately (or as soon as practically possible after occurrence).
• This role requires flexibility, including the possibility of overtime and must be willing to work rotational 12-hour shifts.

If you possess… Must-Have:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 4 – 6 months working experience within the chemical industry.
• Forklift License.
• Must be physically fit.
