Overview
Production Planning for Rigids and Compounding Departments: Manages the production planning function to ensure effective planning and to achieve production and customer requirements. This function is an overseeing function, but the candidate must be able to perform the function themselves too.
Stock Takes and Cycle Counts: Ensures the stock takes are accurately and effectively performed. They are ultimately accountable for any variances, improvements and reporting of stock item variances.
Responsibilities
- Bill of Materials (BOMS): Critically reviews the BOMS captured and posted and is accountable to follow up on all issues that arise.
- New Products, Item Codes, Warehouses and Pricing: Manages and updates registers, new products, item codes, warehouses and pricing.
- Products, Item Codes, Warehouses and Pricing: Manages, uploads and updates all spreadsheets and Sage customer pricing.
- Sales: Manages the sales team and incentives.
- Sales Support: Supports the sales team and their responsibilities.
- Dispatch: This person manages the dispatch team and reporting.
Qualifications/ Required Experience
- Production Planning and Stock managing in a manufacturing environment – minimum 8 years.
- BOM and Product costing – minimum 2 years experience.
- Excellent Data analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel Knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, takes initiative and comfortable voicing opinions through effective communication.
- Ability to lead teams – minimum 5 years.
- Sales & Administration Related background – advantageous.
- Good degree of knowledge of Pastel.
- Good Knowledge of MS Office.
- Independent, responsible, pro-active, discreet and reliable individual.
- Good time management and able to operate both individually and as part of a team.
- Neat and tidy, honest and organized. Strong administrative skills and willing to assist throughout the office and factory – all departments.
- Logical thought process and willing to continuously learn and adapt to changes in the environment.
