Job summary

General Heavy Machinery is seeking an Open Cast & Underground Mining Equipment Sales Specialist to expand our mining and earthmoving footprint. You will identify opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and lead comprehensive demonstrations and proposals.

The role requires a proven track record in selling heavy equipment to mining or construction sectors, exceptional communication, and the ability to travel extensively to meet clients and sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven earthmoving or heavy equipment sales experience.
• Strong understanding of open cast and underground mining equipment.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities in mining and related sectors.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits, equipment demonstrations, and solution presentations.
• Prepare professional quotations, tenders, and sales proposals.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to delivery and after-sales support.
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Negotiate and close high-value equipment sales.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical, parts, and service teams to ensure customer success.
• Represent the company professionally at meetings and industry events.
