Observatory, Cape Town (Onsite - 5 Days per Week) is seeking a data-driven Analyst to transform raw data into actionable insights. You will build reports, dashboards and data models to support strategic decisions and drive business value.

The role focuses on delivering accurate analytics, partnering with stakeholders, and maintaining data quality across all outputs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Data Analyst or BI Analyst role.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to analyse large datasets.
• Experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Experience with data modelling and reporting best practices.
• Strong attention to data quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Design, develop, and maintain insightful reports and dashboards.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.
• Develop data models, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support continuous improvement in data, reporting, and analytics.
• Contribute to data governance and quality improvement activities.
