Qualifications

• BEd Foundation Phase with English Home Language and First Additional Language.
• BA with English as subject and PGCE in Foundation Phase with English Home Language.
• Honours degree in Education.
• At least two years of Foundation Phase classroom experience.
• At least two years’ experience at a Higher Education Institution in Foundation Phase Education.
• Experience and expertise in curriculum development.
• Knowledge of and experience in facilitation in an E-learning environment.
• Registration with SACE.
• Fully computer literate and proficient in English.
• Access to stable WiFi/data and a functional laptop or desktop computer.

Responsabilités

• Work under the leadership of an Academic Head with mainly English language modules.
• Work in an online environment related to Distance Education.
• Curriculum development of modules in the programme based in the department.
• Present and coordinate undergraduate modules, including moderation, report writing, marking and student support.
• Use a learning management system.
• Review and develop assessments.
• Coordinate external markers.
• Contribute to internal and external moderation processes.
• Contribute to Quality Assurance processes.
• Contribute to research processes.
