The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness in the Western Cape is seeking a Professional Nurse (Grade 1–2) in Oncology to provide high-quality patient care within the Oncology unit. The role requires registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and appropriate post-basic qualifications.

Salary is Grade 1 or Grade 2 with a comprehensive benefits package, including the 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing and medical aid allowances.

Formación

• Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse (general nursing).
• Post-basic Oncology Nursing qualification accredited with SANC (1 year).
• A 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent that allows SANC registration.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology Nursing accredited with SANC.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure quality patient care through identification of nursing needs, planning and implementing nursing care plans.
• Render and supervise specialised clinical nursing care and support staff in the oncology unit.
• Utilise resources and contribute to development of self and others.
