Job summary

Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness invites applications for the Professional Nurse Grade 1–2 (Orthopaedics) in the Orthopaedics module. The post requires registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and a post-basic qualification in Orthopaedic Nursing.

The appointee will work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with rotation within the orthopaedics module.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of nursing legislation and policy in the specialty.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality patient care through identification of nursing needs and implementation of care plans.
