Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking a maintenance assistant to support on-board repairs and routine upkeep of all equipment on our cruise ships. You will assist the Repairman, perform routine maintenance, and help install new systems while keeping clear maintenance records.

The role requires basic repair knowledge, tool familiarity, and the ability to read manuals. Physical fitness and teamwork are essential for success in demanding maritime conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year in a similar role, preferably maritime.
• Basic repair and maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Physically fit and able to work in varied weather.
• Willingness to work long hours and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Repairman with repairing and maintaining equipment onboard the cruise ship.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in installing new equipment and systems.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Follow all safety protocols while working on board.
• Communicate effectively with the Repairman and crew.
• Participate in training to enhance skills.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
