Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Carpenter to perform on-board maintenance tasks and support shipboard operations. You will collect materials with the Storekeeper Facility, verify adequacy, participate in daily planning, and organize work in guest areas with safety in mind.

The role emphasizes following Company safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness of laboratories, and upholding Health and Safety Protocols to prevent disease spread on board.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of and carry out maintenance requests, starting the maintenance work in accordance with Company rules.
• Execute the assigned maintenance tasks to provide a fast repair service using proper PPE per Company Safety procedure.
• Collect materials for maintenance with the Storekeeper Facility and verify adequacy and conformity.
• Participate in daily meetings to receive instructions and be assigned to specific work by the Furniture and Interior Officer.
• Collaborate with Carpenter to support the Storekeeper Facility in preparing inventories and verifying material availability.
• Keep the laboratory clean and tidy to prevent damage to equipment and manage tools per Company rules.
• Organize work in Guest areas to avoid hindering other tasks, following Company Safety procedures.
• Execute maintenance works in the laboratory and request work permission to operate in other areas as needed.
• When required, perform other Hotel maintenance tasks to ensure fast intervention as per Furniture and Interior Officers’ dispositions.
• Support a safety-focused work environment and actively follow safety policy and procedures.
• Support an effective health and safety culture on board and report observed violations of health procedures to the Head of Department.
