Placements24 is seeking a Lead Operations Strategist in Richards Bay to drive end-to-end supply chain optimization for clients. The role demands strategic leadership, deep process knowledge, and a proven track record in cost reductions and performance improvements.

You will guide design and implementation, mentor project teams, and collaborate with finance and IT to deliver measurable value in a client-facing consulting environment. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operational consulting.
• Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and performance improvements in complex supply chains.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain planning software, ERP systems, and advanced analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements focused on end-to-end supply chain strategy, design, and execution.
• Analyze existing supply chain networks to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies for procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation optimization.
• Use advanced analytics to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and streamline logistics operations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
