Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst specializing in digital forensics to join a Kimberley team. The role focuses on leading forensic investigations, evidence handling, and expert analysis to support legal and internal proceedings.

Requirements include a CS/Digital Forensics/Cybersecurity degree, 5+ years in forensics and incident response, and proficiency with EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, and Volatility. On-site in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in digital forensics and incident response.
• Proficiency with standard digital forensic tools and methodologies.
• Strong OS and network protocol understanding; memory, mobile, and cloud forensics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic examinations of computers, mobile devices, networks, and cloud environments.
• Acquire and preserve digital evidence in a legally admissible manner.
• Analyze data to identify root causes, perpetrators, and impact of incidents.
• Develop detailed forensic reports documenting findings and methods.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including legal counsel.
• Assist in incident response activities and containment efforts.
• Stay current with developments in digital forensics and cybersecurity threats.
• Maintain chain of custody for all digital evidence.
• Provide expert witness testimony when required.
