Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Security Systems Technician to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot CCTV, access control and alarm systems on client sites in Randburg. You will work on low‑voltage installations and ensure system integrity.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with security technologies, reads wiring diagrams, and can provide on-site support and training. Company vehicle and tools are provided with opportunities for certification and advanced training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Security Systems Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems from various manufacturers.
• Proficiency with low‑voltage wiring and system installation.
• Ability to read and interpret system blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of installed security systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in security system hardware and software.
• Conduct site surveys to assess security needs and recommend appropriate system designs.
• Run and terminate low‑voltage cabling for security system installations.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation.
