Job summary

NTT DATA in Johannesburg is seeking a seasoned network engineer to implement Access and MPLS VPN-based network solutions, as well as SD-WAN deployments. You will work on-site to ensure precise installations and timely project closures, while maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in networking, CCNA, and hands-on SD-WAN experience with Meraki, Viptela, and Fortigate, plus Cisco/ Fortigate SD-WAN configuration expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Cisco CCNA required; CCIP or CCNP advantageous.
• Hands-on SD-WAN experience with Meraki, Viptela and Fortigate.
• Minimum 6 years in a networking environment.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge and routing protocol familiarity.
• Proactive problem solving and task ownership.

Responsibilities

• Implement Access and MPLS VPN-based network solutions and SD-WAN deployments.
• Execute installations precisely and complete necessary administrative tasks.
• Maintain a customer-facing role with proactive client follow-up for satisfaction.
• Configure and install Cisco and Fortigate SD-WAN products.
