Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major capital projects at the Richards Bay facilities. The role involves planning, execution, and closure of complex infrastructure and engineering projects with hands-on involvement on-site.

Ideal candidate has engineering/PM background, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering projects in a demanding operational environment, with responsibility for timelines, budgets, and safety/quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6+ years of PM experience on capital projects.
• Experience in industrial/construction settings with strong leadership.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of capital projects from feasibility to handover.
• Develop detailed project plans (scope, schedule, budget, resources).
• Oversee execution respecting objectives, timelines, and budget.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and vendors involved in delivery.
• Implement safety protocols and quality assurance measures throughout phases.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Lead status meetings and provide reports to senior management.
• Manage project documentation (drawings, permits, contracts, changes).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.
