Placements24 seeks a Crypto Exchange Platform Developer in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA to join a core engineering team on-site. You will build and maintain low-latency trading infrastructure, including matching engines, OMS, wallet integrations, and APIs.

The role requires deep knowledge of financial trading systems, security best practices for crypto exchanges, and the ability to collaborate with traders and analysts to implement new features in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-frequency or low-latency trading systems.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Java or Go.
• Deep understanding of matching engines, order books and market data structures.
• Experience integrating with blockchain networks for wallet and transactions.
• Knowledge of security practices for financial platforms and crypto exchanges.
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading engines and OMS.
• Integrate securely with blockchain networks for deposits/withdrawals.
• Develop and maintain robust trading APIs and data feeds.
• Ensure security and integrity of the trading platform.
• Collaborate with quants and traders on new features and strategies.
• Optimize for low latency and high throughput.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues on the platform.
• Participate in code reviews and improve development standards.
