Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer for its Polokwane operations. You'll calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot process instrumentation and control systems on-site, collaborating with process engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to ensure safety, efficiency and product quality.

The role offers hands-on exposure in a key industrial hub of Limpopo. Minimum 3–5 years in industrial instrumentation, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of DCS/PLC systems, sensors

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
Proficient in calibrating and maintaining sensors, transmitters and control valves.
Strong understanding of process control principles and feedback loops.
Experience with DCS or PLC-based systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, maintain and repair process instruments (pressure, temp, flow, level).
Troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control loops to minimize downtime.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for instrumentation assets.
Ensure instrumentation activities comply with safety policies and regulations.
Collaborate with process engineers and operators to optimize performance.
Maintain calibration/maintenance records using CMMS.
