Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Installation Specialist to join our team in Benoni, Gauteng. The role focuses on hands-on installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment at client sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Travel within the service area is required and you will report progress to project coordinators. The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience in technical installations, good reading of schematics, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

Experience in a technical installation or field service role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.
A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel within the service area are required.

Responsibilities

Perform installations of equipment and systems according to technical specifications and project timelines.
Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of newly installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all installation sites.
Communicate effectively with clients and project coordinators regarding installation progress and requirements.
Complete detailed installation reports and documentation.
