Placements24 seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on-site in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead migrations, enforce security standards, and optimize costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The role requires 6+ years in cloud architecture, IaC experience (Terraform/Ansible), and strong scripting skills. Collaboration with Dev and Ops teams is essential for seamless deployments and cloud optimization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of cloud architecture and infrastructure management.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP services (compute, storage, networking, databases).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a strong advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop migration strategies and oversee the movement of applications and data to the cloud.
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices, policies, and standards.
• Manage and optimize cloud costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
