Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure projects in Centurion, Gauteng. This on-site role requires hands-on supervision, detailed planning, and strict quality control to deliver projects from initiation to closeout.

You will coordinate with construction teams, ensure safety compliance, and provide regular progress reports. A Civil Engineering degree and 6+ years' experience, with Pr.Eng status being a strong advantage, are preferred.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in managing and executing civil engineering projects.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) designation is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in site supervision and contract management.
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to effectively manage a project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, from planning and design to construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Implement and enforce strict quality control measures and safety procedures on site.
• Prepare regular project progress reports, including financial status, timelines, and risk assessments.
• Resolve on-site technical challenges and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
