Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Site Engineer to contribute to significant infrastructure development projects in Tembisa. You will gain hands-on experience in project execution, quality control, and site supervision while learning from experienced site managers and senior engineers.

This role blends field work with office tasks, offering exposure to all phases of construction from planning and preparation to execution and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 0–3 years of civil engineering experience, preferably on construction sites.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and QC principles.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and site managers with daily construction activities and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks per specs.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports documenting activities and challenges.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and labor for workflow and material management.
• Support health and safety protocols on site for a safe work environment.
• Review and interpret drawings and specifications to guide construction.
