Job summary

Au Pair Extraordinaire is seeking an energetic and responsible caregiver for an afterschool and Saturday role in Olivedale. You will pick up from school, accompany to activities, and provide healthy meals, engaging play, and learning experiences in a supportive home setting.

The candidate should have at least 12 months of formal childcare in the last two years, own a car with substantial driving experience, two childcare references, a clear criminal record, and Matric with SA ID.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child care experience within the last 2 years.
• Must have own reliable car with at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a passion for children.
• Matric is required.
• South African ID document required.

Responsibilities

• Collect from school and take to extracurricular activities.
• Prepare lunch and snacks for the child.
• Engage in fun, stimulating activities and play.
• Reading and arts and crafts activities.
• Ensure safety and provide attentive supervision.

Olivedale - AU PAIR - AFTERNOONS AND EVERY SECOND SATURDAY
Area: Olivedale
Ages: 4 year old in Grade 0000. Speech delay
Working hours: Mon – Fri 12:00 – 17:30 and every second Saturday from 08:30 – 12:00
School holiday hours: Same hours as above. Flexibility on the hours would be a bonus.
Duties: Collect from school, take to extra murals, prepare lunch and snacks, engage in fun stimulating activities and play. Reading and arts and crafts.
Requirements: Looking for calm responsible person who is intuitive and smart. They must be active and energetic. Someone who takes initiative. ECD experience or qualification preferable.
Start date: 01 December 2026 – Permanent Contract
Salary: R12000 - R15000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95) for any driving done directly for the family. Not to get to and from work. Salary will be dependent on the candidates educational experience and qualifications
