Impact HR is seeking an OHS Training Facilitator to develop and deliver Occupational Health and Safety training programs. The role focuses on educating employees on safety practices, regulations and compliance to create a safer workplace.

You will assess training needs, prepare lesson plans, facilitate programmes, register learners, and ensure delegates understand assessments. The position requires SAQA-aligned credentials, certification as Assessor/Moderator, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
  • Assessor and Moderator registrations with SAQA bodies are essential.
  • ETDP SETA certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare lesson plans and ensure training material and equipment are ready before sessions.
  • Facilitate, assess and moderate programmes per SAQA best practices.
  • Provide administrative support including learner registration.
  • Ensure delegates understand assessment questions and how to complete assessments.
  • Create a positive learning environment that stimulates learning.
  • Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety regulations and National Code of Practice.

Job description

We are seeking an OHS Training Facilitator to develop and deliver effective Occupational Health and Safety training programs. This role focuses on creating a safer workplace by educating employees on safety practices, regulations, and compliance. You will be responsible for assessing training needs and implementing programs that promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Duties & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Prepare lesson plans and ensure that the appropriate training material, stationery and equipment is available and in excellent working order before the Training Session commences
  • Facilitate, assess and moderate programmes according to the company and SAQA best practices
  • Provide administrative support and assist with learner registration process
  • Ensure that delegates understand assessment questions and how to complete the assessment
  • Create and nurture a positive learning environment that stimulates learning and motivates delegates
  • Adhere strictly to all Occupational Health & Safety regulations as well regulations listed on National Code of Practice.
