Placements24 is seeking an Offshore Production Operator for our client near Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role centers on monitoring offshore production equipment, performing routine maintenance and responding to alarms in a safety-critical oil & gas environment.

On-site rotations demand strong safety discipline and teamwork to sustain continuous energy production. The ideal candidate holds a National Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in oil & gas, and has offshore

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years in Production Operator or similar in Oil & Gas or petrochemical.
• Offshore survival certificate (BOSIET/FOET) and medical fitness certificate.
• Safe, team-oriented and able to follow precise instructions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate production equipment including pumps and separators.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Collect samples and conduct basic laboratory tests.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions with corrective actions.
• Maintain logs and reports; participate in drills and safety procedures.
• Assist with loading/unloading and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Ensure a clean, safe offshore production platform.
• Report issues clearly and adhere to permit-to-work and enviro rules.
