Placements24 seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee offshore oil and gas activities from our Pietermaritzburg support facility in KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead production, maintenance, safety, and logistics across offshore assets and campaigns.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 12+ years in oil & gas with 5+ years in offshore leadership, and a proven track record of managing complex offshore facilities. Strong HSE, financial, and People leadership are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical) or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years in oil and gas with at least 5 years in a senior offshore management role.
• Proven track record in managing complex offshore facilities and production campaigns.
• Extensive knowledge of offshore operations, including production, drilling support, maintenance, and logistics.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices in offshore sector.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage large, diverse workforces.
• Excellent financial acumen and experience managing significant operational budgets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the KwaZulu-Natal offshore environment is an advantage.
• Valid work permit for South Africa.

• Direct and manage offshore oil and gas operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance.

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, suppliers, and contractors.
• Oversee incident investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
• Champion innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance operational performance.
