You will oversee a team of about 20 in Imports/Exports, coach staff, and negotiate with carriers. Willingness to travel and experience in multinational environments are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Freight Forwarding.
• At least 8 years in Ocean Freight Operations Leadership at a reputable organization.
• Experience leading a team of approximately 20 professionals.

My client from a Freight Forwarding Company is seeking an Ocean Freight Manager to join their team

• Experience and a proven record in leading a high performing team and developing the Ocean freight business activities with strong Ocean Freight Operations and Commercial acumen, with strong routing and shipping knowledge
• Team of +-20 employees in Imports and Exports, Cross Trade
• Advanced knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry, extensive knowledge of Ocean Freight and its advanced technologies and shipping lines.
• Minimum 10 yrs. in Freight Forwarding
• Must have worked at the position of Ocean Freight Operations Leadership for at least 8 years in a reputable organization
• Manage experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments
• Good negotiator, always having the aspired goal in mind
• Excellent networking abilities and impeccable interpersonal approach
• Able to lead larger internal and external meetings
• Readiness to coach people and like to work across cultures
• Must be able to travel
