Job summary

Gauteng Provincial Government's Tshwane Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to lead a rehabilitation unit, oversee staffing and resources, and ensure compliance with nursing standards and Batho Pele principles. The role requires current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse and extensive leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will guide CPD, participate in policy implementation, and coordinate service delivery within a multidisciplinary team, rotating shifts

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a Basic R425 qualification or equivalent enabling SANC registration.
• Postgraduate Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Management/ Administration/ Health Systems Management.
• Current registration with SANC as Professional Nurse.
• Minimum 7 years' experience as a professional nurse after community service.
• Computer literacy and a valid drivers' license.
• Experience in physical and medical rehabilitation and at a management level is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nurses to provide optimal holistic care in a rehabilitation unit.
• Manage material, human and financial resources.
• Ensure nursing practice complies with scope of practice and standards.
• Promote quality of nursing care as directed by professional standards.
• Coordinate CPD for nurses and midwives.
• Rotate and work shifts including weekends, holidays and after hours.
• Demonstrate understanding of HR and financial policies and practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
