The post requires a Diploma leading to General Nurse registration or a 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing, with postgraduate qualifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Essential education: Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or a 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing.
• Desirable education: Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery; Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care, Emergency Care, Perioperative Nursing) if placed in a specialist unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure accurate charting of used stock and equipment.
