Job summary

FairPlay Engineering in the Netherlands is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to contribute to modifications, system improvements, and safety-compliant projects within a nuclear environment.

You will work on instrumentation-focused projects, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and delivering robust technical documentation while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional engineering experience in an industrial/technical environment.
• Experience with low-voltage power distribution and related calculations.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems.
• Affinity for preparing and reviewing technical documentation and engineering dossiers.
• Experience with engineering standards and codes such as IEC, ISO, NEN.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with safety, operation, and business in mind.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and improve nuclear systems and equipment.
• Support operations and maintenance to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
• Plan, coordinate, monitor, and manage engineering projects and modifications.
• Liaise with suppliers for services and equipment, maintaining relationships.
• Prepare, review, and manage technical documentation, including design packages and risk assessments.
• Provide technical expertise to other departments when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver value to stakeholders.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in critical environments.
