Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Staff Nurse - Band 5 for Ward 111, Infection Unit in the Emergency Care Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The post is 36 hours per week, on a 12-hour shift pattern with day/night rotation and weekend/public holiday cover.

The successful applicant will provide high standard of care to patients within the unit, ideally with post-registration Band 5 experience and be currently NMC UK registered.

Location – ward 111 within the emergency care centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in ward 111/ Infection unit for an Enthusiastic and motivated band 5 staff nurse.

We are looking for a caring, hardworking individual to join our team and provide a high standard of care to patients within the unit.

Applicants should preferably have post registration experience at band 5 or equivalent, be currently NMC UK registered and have a genuine interest in developing their nursing career within the Infection Unit and Emergency Care Centre.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
