Job summary

Placements24, a leading national supplier of industrial equipment, seeks an Area Sales Manager to cover Upington in the Northern Cape. You will build and lead a distributor network, win direct accounts, and drive growth across mining, agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

You’ll travel across the Northern Cape, demonstrate solutions, negotiate contracts, and manage CRM and forecasts to exceed sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in B2B sales in industrial supplies or related fields.
• Proven track record of meeting quotas in territory-based roles.
• Strong understanding of mining, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors in South Africa.
• Willingness to travel within the Northern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans for Upington and the Northern Cape.
• Identify, recruit, and manage distributors and agents in the territory.
• Engage with key industrial clients to understand needs and promote product solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and site visits to potential and existing customers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new business.
• Maintain CRM records and manage forecasts.
