Placements24 is seeking an NLP Engineer to join its core technology team in Klerksdorp. You will design, build and deploy NLP models to power text analysis and language understanding for intelligent applications.

In a dedicated R&D environment, you will collaborate with AI specialists to implement state-of-the-art techniques, process large text datasets, and translate research into production-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS, computational linguistics, or related field with NLP focus.
• Proven experience (3+ years) deploying NLP models in production.
• Strong programming in Python with NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, Transformers).
• Solid understanding of ML and DL architectures for NLP.
• Experience handling large text datasets efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement state-of-the-art NLP models for sentiment analysis, NER, topic modeling, and MT.
• Build robust data pipelines for text preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training.
• Integrate NLP capabilities into existing software applications and platforms.
• Evaluate model performance, identify improvements, and iterate on solutions.
