Job summary

A-Z BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS is seeking a reliable Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. You will manage Front Office operations during the night shift, complete the nightly audit, reconcile transactions and ensure guests receive exceptional service overnight.

The role requires Grade 12, experience in Front Office or Night Audit, strong numeracy, attention to detail, and familiarity with a PMS such as Opera. Night shifts, weekends, and public holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Experience in Front Office, Reception or Night Audit within a hotel or lodge environment.
• Experience with night audit and financial reconciliation is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with a hotel PMS and Opera is preferred.
• Strong numerical and administrative skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Professional appearance and manner.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be reliable, trustworthy and comfortable working night shifts.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform the daily night audit and end-of-day procedures.
• Reconcile room revenue, cash, credit card transactions and guest accounts.
• Verify and post all accommodation, restaurant, bar and other departmental charges.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in guest accounts and financial records.
• Prepare daily financial and operational reports for management.
• Handle late check-ins, early check-outs, reservations and guest requests.
• Attend to guest complaints and queries professionally and efficiently.
• Conduct regular checks of the property and report any security or maintenance concerns.
• Ensure all Front Office documentation and handover reports are completed accurately.
• Maintain accurate guest information and confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate important overnight information to the morning team.
• Ensure the Front Office operates smoothly and professionally throughout the night.
• Act as the responsible person on duty during the night in the absence of senior management.
