About the Role

Our client, a welcoming hotel located in the scenic coastal city of East London, Eastern Cape , is seeking a reliable and diligent Night Auditor and Front Desk Agent . This role is critical for ensuring smooth overnight operations and providing exceptional service to guests during the late-night and early-morning hours. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for performing financial audits, managing front desk operations, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the night. This is an on-site position, requiring a commitment to working overnight shifts. If you are a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for hospitality, this role offers a stable opportunity within a friendly hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily financial audits, including reconciling room charges, cash, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare end-of-day reports, including occupancy statistics and revenue summaries.
• Manage check-in and check-out procedures for arriving and departing guests efficiently and courteously.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints during the night shift.
• Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and directions.
• Ensure the security and safety of the hotel premises throughout the night.
• Respond to emergencies and alert appropriate personnel when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas.
• Assist with wake-up calls and other guest services as needed.
• Operate the hotel's telephone system and manage incoming calls.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel front desk operations, hospitality, or a customer service role is required.
• Experience with night auditing or accounting procedures is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in using Property Management Systems (PMS) is preferred.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail for financial reconciliation.
