Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a dedicated classroom facilitator for a bright 10-year-old neurodiverse boy in Paarl. The role focuses on social, academic and emotional support during school hours, holidays, and extramural activities, using a child-led, relational approach.

Fluency in Afrikaans and English is essential; the candidate should live within 10 km of Paarl and have prior experience with neurodiverse children.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Afrikaans and English – Essential.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality – Essential.
• Legal employability in South Africa – Essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and academic facilitation and educational activities during school holidays.
• Attend school daily to provide scaffolding across subjects, social interactions and extramural activities.
• Act as a communication bridge between teachers, parents and the multidisciplinary team.
• Break down tasks, support literacy and writing challenges, and foster independence and resilience.
• Support executive functioning skills and adapt approaches to daily mood variations.
• Provide proactive daily feedback to parents on progress and challenges.
