You will integrate hardware and software, collaborate across teams, and implement robust network security protocols to protect critical infrastructure. This 6-month remote engagement may require international travel.

Project Overview

Our client, a global consulting firm, is partnering with a global client in the IT/Mining sector in a transformative phase of their IT infrastructure, focusing on building scalable, secure, and resilient data communication networks. This initiative is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity, operational continuity, and future-readiness.

As a Network Architect, you will design, build, and optimize highly scalable and secure networks, including LANs, WANs, cloud infrastructure, and intranet setups. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the organization’s connectivity remains reliable, high-performing, and aligned with its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and resilient data communication networks (LANs, WANs, cloud infrastructure, intranets).
• Focus on capacity planning, structural performance, and disaster recovery to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
• Integrate hardware and software solutions to create cohesive, high-performance network architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network design with business and operational requirements.
• Develop and implement network security protocols to safeguard against cyber threats.
• Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Your Background

• Experience: 10–15+ years in network architecture, with expertise in designing and optimizing large-scale enterprise networks.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN design, cloud infrastructure, network security, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Sector Background: Proven experience in the IT/Mining sector or similar industries with complex, mission-critical network environments.
• Technical/Functional Expertise: Familiarity with network architecture tools, cybersecurity best practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Other Info

This is an initial 6-month project, with strong potential for extension based on performance and client needs. The role is remote, with travel required once or twice a month as needed. Consultants of any nationality are welcome to apply, provided they meet the experience requirements
