Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Network Administrator to manage and maintain the IT network infrastructure in Mahikeng. You will be responsible for network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of all network hardware and software.

This role requires strong technical skills, a detail‑oriented approach, and the ability to support day‑to‑day operations. Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network architecture.
• Experience with network security best practices and technologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices from various vendors.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime and speed.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Perform regular network maintenance, including software updates, patching, and hardware upgrades.
