Entelect is seeking a .NET Team Lead to guide a delivery team in building enterprise-scale web and mobile applications for top South African organisations.

You will drive best practices, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement. The role supports a hybrid work model with regular office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a software engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Experience driving a delivery team with other disciplines to deliver a product.

What You'll Be Doing:

Delivery:

• Leveraging your expertise to guide and deliver world‑class web and mobile applications for leading organisations in South Africa.
• Exploring methods to enhance product quality through containerisation and continuous integration, fostering a streamlined DevOps culture.
• Engaging in various stages of the SDLC, from system design to analysis, scoping, and estimation.
• Researching innovative technologies and implementing them in projects to drive innovation.

People:

• Demonstrating maturity, motivation, and leadership in the workplace.
• Championing change within the team and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to tackle complex business challenges, driving continuous improvement.
• Mentoring and coaching team members to uphold standards of excellence and accountability while helping them grow.
• Carrying out regular team and individual feedback through involvement in monthly one‑on‑ones and twice‑yearly performance reviews.
• Leading your team in implementing best practices and processes.

Customer:

What We Need from You:

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a software engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Experience driving a delivery team together with other disciplines to successfully deliver a product.
• A hunger to continually improve those around you through mentorship, guidance, and awareness of what drives those on your team.
• A solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and commitment to clean code and best practices.
• Mastery of various technologies with the agility to adapt to new frameworks.
• Ability to architect and structure small projects within an enterprise environment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a drive for continual improvement.
• Pro hybrid working model working from the office on average 2 – 3 times per week.
• A strong customer-facing ability.

What To Expect from the Recruitment Process:

Our aim is to make the recruitment process as efficient as possible, keeping you informed every step of the way.

• The first step is an initial conversation with our talent team to get to know you better and introduce you to Entelect and all that we have to offer.
• The next step will be a 1.5-hour in‑person technical interview at one of our offices where you will meet some of our leadership team.
• Following the technical interview, we will invite you back for an in‑person case study presentation where we will give you the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills.
• Finally, if we are both aligned, we wrap up the process with salary discussions and present you with an offer of employment.
