Job summary

EdUpStairs in the Western Cape seeks an Enrolled Nursing Assistant (Grade 1–3) registered with SANC. The role covers basic nursing care, assisting patients with daily living activities, and supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include SANC registration, willingness to work shifts including nights and weekends, computer literacy, and adherence to health policies. Salary is graded: Grade 1 R181,230; Grade 2 R211,401; Grade 3 R249,141 per annum.

Qualifications

• Registration with SANC as Nursing Assistant.
• Grade 2 requires a minimum of 10 years’ nursing experience after registration with SANC.
• Grade 3 requires a minimum of 20 years’ nursing experience after registration with SANC.
• Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours, night duty and weekends.
• Willingness to assist in all departments according to operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care by assisting patients with daily living activities.
• Ensure implementation of basic nursing care plans and effective communication.
• Utilise resources efficiently.
• Promote QA, IPC and OHS within the department.
• Maintain professional practice and ongoing self-development.
