Qualifications

About the Role Our client is seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced Nanny/Childminder to provide exceptional care for their two young children (ages 3 and 5) in their home located in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will be responsible for the daily care, supervision, and engagement of the children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. We are looking for someone who can commit to the role long-term and build a strong rapport with both the children and their parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children aged 3 and 5 in a safe and nurturing home environment.


• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including indoor and outdoor play.


• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary guidelines or preferences.


• Assist with basic daily routines, such as tidying up play areas, children's bedrooms, and ensuring children's hygiene.


• Transport children to and from school or extracurricular activities as needed.


• Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding the children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.


• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, responding promptly and appropriately to any emergencies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Nanny, Childminder, or in a similar childcare role, with verifiable references.


• Demonstrated understanding of child development stages for toddlers and preschoolers.


• First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
