Placements24 in Polokwane is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing facility. You will cover mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and perform repairs to minimize downtime and uphold production efficiency.

This role requires strong hands-on skills, the ability to read schematics, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
• Experience with welding, fabricating and general repairs is advantageous.
• Must be able to work shifts and be available for on-call duties in Polokwane.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment as per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues across industrial machinery.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes and implement repairs.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and manuals to guide maintenance activities.
• Maintain logs of maintenance, parts used, and equipment status; ensure safety compliance.
