Job summary

Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal operation of our client’s industrial machinery. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

You should hold a trade qualification (Electrician, Fitter & Turner or equivalent) and have proven industrial maintenance experience.

Qualifications

Trade qualification as Electrician, Fitter & Turner, or equivalent relevant certification.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on all types of industrial machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures.
Respond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose and repair issues.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during maintenance operations.
