Job summary

Mama Shelter Cape Town is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, dining spaces and back-of-house areas running smoothly. You’ll diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance issues with a proactive approach.

You’ll perform carpentry, painting and other repairs, implement preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The role supports sustainable, guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities, construction, engineering, or a similar environment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
• Problem-solving mindset; view challenges as opportunities.
• Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
• Pride in attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
