Job summary

Omnia Holdings Brackenfell, Western Cape, seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead production planning, procurement, and site management across multiple operations. The role focuses on on-time delivery, product quality, and cost control within fertilizer/chemical contexts.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage contractor performance, and lead production teams with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in production management, preferably in fertilizer or chemical manufacturing.
• Proven experience in contractor and multi-site management.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and raw material forecasting.
• Monitor usage variance and ensure consistent product quality.
• Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and output.
• Manage procurement of packaging materials and coordinate repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure cost-effective sourcing and equipment reliability.
• Oversee contractor performance and compliance.
• Supervise smaller satellite sites to ensure alignment with central operations.
• Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Manage operational expenses and contribute to cost control initiatives.
• Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
• Ensure effective workforce planning, training, and performance management.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.
• Promote a zero-harm culture and uphold all company safety standards.
