Job summary

K2 Recruit is seeking a Specialist Services Engineer (Tier 2) in Cape Town, full-time and in-office, to join the Professional Services team. You will deliver technical implementations, migrations, on-site work and escalated support across client environments.

The role covers Microsoft 365, endpoints, servers, networking, backup, security, cloud and general infrastructure, with responsibilities from onboarding to handover and ensuring delivery within scope and timelines.

Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12 or NQF equivalent.
CompTIA A+ certification is required.
CompTIA N+ certification is required.
Microsoft 365, Azure fundamentals, endpoint, server or infrastructure knowledge preferred.
MCSA or equivalent certification such as AZ-900 / MS-900.
IT qualification or degree advantageous.
ITIL knowledge or certification advantageous.
Experience with ITIL and COBIT frameworks advantageous.

Responsibilities

Manage project and service tickets from approved tasks and ensure progress is tracked.
Update tickets with blockers, risks, next steps and completion notes.
Capture time accurately for projects and activities and report progress to stakeholders.
Perform client deployments, migrations, endpoint preparation and Microsoft 365 changes.
Configure backups and deploy security tools in line with approved plans.
Deliver onsite and remote work per Statements of Work and timelines.
Escalate technical blockers to leads or management as needed.
Follow ITIL/ITSM processes and maintain accurate documentation.
