Mr D, a division of the Takealot Group, is seeking a Retail Account Manager in Johannesburg. The role focuses on acquiring and supporting restaurant partners, managing the sign-up process, and maintaining strong partner relationships to drive platform growth.

You will work under the Sales Lead for Mr D, targeting restaurants in outlying areas and contributing to a high-velocity sales environment with a strong customer-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year prior sales experience.
• Experience in marketplace, ecommerce SAAS or hospitality sales preferred.
• Proficiency in using CRM tools is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the local restaurant industry.

• Identify and prioritize suitable restaurant partners for the Mr D platform.
• Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Own the restaurants sign-up process.
• Operate as the lead point of contact for restaurant partners.
• Strengthen relationships with restaurant partners and monitor their business and store performance.
• Ensure timely and effective solutions and feedback to restaurant partners.
• Ensure strict restaurant visit standards are maintained.

This position reports to the Sales Lead for Mr D.

Purpose of this role:To assist the sales team in achieving it's overall restaurant acquisition goals. This rolespecifically looks after small portfolios of restaurants in our outlying service areas and issupported by Account Manager and Sales Area Leads.
