Placements24 seeks a Regional Operations Manager to lead all aspects of supply chain, logistics and distribution in the Mossel Bay, Western Cape region. This on-site leadership role demands hands-on management, strong FMCG logistics expertise and a proven ability to optimize complex operations.

The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, manage teams, and implement strategies to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost control in a fast-moving environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in operations management, with FMCG experience.
• Experience in warehousing, logistics and distribution operations.
• Proven leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and transportation management.
• Data-driven decision making with analytics.

Mansioni

• Oversee day-to-day regional operations including warehousing, inventory, and transport.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, cut costs, and raise service levels.
• Lead and develop operations staff with coaching and performance management.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations compliance in facilities.
• Forecast demand, monitor stock, and optimize inventory to control costs.
• Build relationships with logistics providers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Set and monitor KPIs; analyze data and report findings.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
• Manage regional operating budget with cost control and accountability.
• Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruption.
