Abbott is seeking an Ambassador – Molecular Diagnostics to lead revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships in the Western Cape and neighboring markets. You will drive opportunities, manage distributors, and deliver end-to-end customer support in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical science, Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, medical devices, laboratory medicine, or related field.
• At least 1–2 years' proven track record of achieving commercial and sales targets.
• Experience managing distributors and channel partners.

Responsibilities

• Drive territory revenue growth and achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across public and private healthcare sectors.
• Develop and execute territory business plans to support sustainable growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratories, clinicians, procurement teams, and key decision makers.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers through strategic account management and business reviews.
• Manage distributor partnerships, joint business plans, and performance reviews across designated markets.
• Support tender opportunities, contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial agreements.
• Deliver customer onboarding, product education, and first-line commercial and technical support.
• Drive menu expansion, reagent utilization, and customer retention initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Applications, Service, Finance, and Logistics to ensure seamless customer support and project execution.
