Job summary

The NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Transport Officer within Breast Screening to support mobile units across multiple locations in Grampian, Orkney and Shetland. You will perform driver duties and light maintenance, ensuring safe and reliable operation of mobile screening equipment.

Hours are 19.46 per week with flexible start times from 6am and across locations. A clean driving license is essential, and knowledge of light mechanical/electrical tasks is highly valued to diagnose faults and

Qualifications

• Clean driving license required (HGV not necessary).
• Knowledge of light mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• Ability to diagnose faults and report them to contractors.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork and flexibility are essential.
• Willing to work across various locations with flexible start times.

Responsibilities

• Provide driver/maintenance duties at mobile Breast Screening units.
• Adapt to a flexible working pattern with early start times (6am) across locations.
• Support the NHS Breast Screening Programme by ensuring unit readiness and safety.
