Job summary

Sasso Consulting (Pty) Ltd in Randburg, Johannesburg, seeks a Roof Truss Designer / Estimator with strong MiTek Pamir expertise to join its technical team on permanent, full-time basis.

You will design timber and light steel roof truss systems, interpret architectural and structural drawings, prepare layouts and estimates, and ensure designs meet building regulations and industry standards. You will manage multiple projects and provide technical support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on MiTek Pamir experience is essential.
• Experience designing roof trusses in roofing/construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings.
• Experience with cost estimation and material take-offs.
• Strong numerical and technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Design timber and/or light steel roof truss systems using MiTek Pamir.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings and client specifications.
• Produce accurate roof layouts, truss designs and technical documentation.
• Design in accordance with building regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare material take-offs, quantities and estimates.
• Calculate roofing and truss requirements for quotations and projects.
• Assist with customer quotations and costing.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Provide technical support to production and installation teams.
• Maintain project and design records.
